This project, developed for the course "Interaction Media Design", is about the creation of an interactive experience, a sort of "virtual guide", for Museo Morandi in Bologna
Academic Year: 2021/2022
The project’s aim is to model an organized linked open data environment that connects concepts, items, people, places, events and, more generally, data and information about Anastasija Romanov, in the most interoperable and semantically meaningful way possible. In order to do that, we explored the possibilities offered by the technologies used in Semantic Web, such as vocabularies, ontologies, RDF and URIs.

This project consists in a network analysis of the Stefania Auci's novel ("I leoni di Sicilia"). Through this networks' analysis I wanted to answer to two main research questions: HOW THE SOCIAL CONNECTIONS, THE HOLDINGS AND THE BUSINESS ACTIVITY OF THE FAMILY “FLORIO” CHANGE ACROSS THE GENERATIONS? ARE THE MAIN CHARACTERS REALLY THE "MAIN CHARACTERS"? WHO DOES STEFANIA AUCI GIVE MORE IMPORTANCE IN THE NOVEL AND WHY?

Through a compared analysis of the musical album "Non al denaro, non all'amore, né al cielo" and the anthology "Spoon River", obtained by extracting data with different Python libraries (e.g.: BERTopic), we worked onto establishing the main topics. Then we build an ontology based on our discoveries through Protégé and created some SPARQL queries, to confront the different similarities and analyze the differences, between these two works.
