Battle Of The WaterLOD

The aim of Battle of the WaterLOD Project is to create an abstract Linked Open model for describing data related to the battle of Waterloo. Our idea involves Napoleone Bonaparte as person, Waterloo as place, Defeat as concept and 1815 as Date. For each of them, we have collected different kinds of items (archival documents, bibliographic entries and artifacts).

Gryffinpop - ScholarlySearchEngine

Scholarly Search Engine (SSE) is a software made by Gryffinpop Team that takes in input a file in a CSV format and allows one to run particular search and analysis operations: process_data, do_search, do_pretty_print, do_publication_tree, do_top_ten_authors, do_coauthor_network, and do_top_10_volume.

Sake

Academic Year: 2017/2018
SAKE project aims to represent a scientific article's narrative as a knowledge base, associating it with knowledge from cited papers, authors, theories, etc. We reuse existing ontologies but also define our own for the specific representation we propose.

Quæro

Academic Year: 2018/2019
Quæro proposes a boolean search engine and a space-time data visualization for epigraphic databases. The idea of a complex boolean search engine started when the author needed to find all documents talking about Mithras, whose date and place were known, inside the Epigraphic Database Heidelberg to create a space-time data visualization to show the evolution of Mithraism in space and time through epigraphic evidence.

Prancing Horse

Academic Year: 2018/2019
PrancingHorse proposes the narration of the career of Francesco Baracca, ace of the First World War, using narrative techniques of data visualization typical of sports journalism. Moreover, the figure of Baracca is closely linked to Formula 1, which makes this project a great tribute to Baracca's memory linking History and Sport.

Bolide

Academic Year: 2018/2019
BOLIDE ("BOLogna In Dati Elettorali") analyzes the political-economic-social situation in Bologna in the years 2009-2018. The project has been reused, reworked, and cleaned the datasets published on OpenData Bologna, the website of the OpenData project of the Municipality of Bologna dedicated to transparency and accessibility of open data, according to the principles of Open Government.
