digilibLT - Research Project draft

Name

digilibLT - Research Project

Description

Conceived by Raffaella Tabacco and developed with Maurizio Lana, the project creates a freely accessible digital corpus of late-antique Latin literary texts (2nd–5th centuries AD). It continues the work of the Packard Humanities Institute (PHI), which in the 1990s produced a CD-ROM database of Latin texts up to the 2nd century AD but subsequently ceased updates. As a result, no searchable digital corpus has been available for the pivotal transitional period from Antiquity to the Middle Ages—a gap this project seeks to fill.
