Codice Pelavicino Digitale Project

Name

Codice Pelavicino Digitale Project

Description

The Codice Pelavicino Digital Edition project was launched in 2014, initiated by Enrica Salvatori, who had long been part of a research group dedicated to the critical edition of the Codice Pelavicino, and later became the project's scientific director. Thanks to EVT, an open-source software developed by Roberto Rosselli Del Turco, it became possible to propose to the Capitolo dei Canonici of the Sarzana Cathedral – the owner of the codex – a digital edition that would allow the manuscript to be studied without requiring physical access, while also offering all the enhanced features of a traditional printed critical edition.
